How the Rainfresh Drinking Water System II (DS2/4A) Works.

Water is passed through a cartridge containing a block of activated carbon. This effective for reducing particulate matter and organic tastes, odours and colours and chlorine. Following this the water passes through a porous ceramic cartride which traps and disinfects harmful bacteria (E. Coli, fecal coliform); traps cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia lamblia); filters particulate matter to below 0.3 micron.

Following this filtering, the water passes through a solid microbloc activated carbon core of the ceramic cartridge which further reduces organic tastes, odours and colours and chlorine.

It can be an inexpensive alternative to more elaborate systems and is relatively inexpensive to maintain. No water is wasted and the process is rapid. The system will not remove fluoride or healthful minerals. The Rainfresh Drinking Water System II can be used with treated or untreated water.
